Please note that residents must attend their assigned voting station. This information will be sent via mail to residents. If you are still unsure of your assigned location or have misplaced your voting station card, please contact the Senior Election Official at elections@rmofspringfield.ca.
*IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE.
A person will be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example - driver’s license or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.
ADVANCE VOTING
For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at the École Dugald School Gym, 543 Holland St, Dugald, MB and will be open Saturday, October 17, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
MOBILE VOTING - Residents Only
For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but reside at a health care facility or elderly persons home, a mobile voting station will be set up at the following locations on Monday, October 19, 2026:

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE
A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by fax, before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, to the Senior Election Official at the Rural Municipality of Springfield Municipal Office, Box 219, 100 Springfield Centre Drive, Oakbank, Manitoba, R0E 1J0. Applications made on or before Friday, October 16, 2026, may have the sealed envelope ballot package delivered via regular mail service. In the event of a postal strike, the voter shall make alternate arrangements to have the ballot delivered. Applications made after Friday, October 16, 2026, should indicate method of delivery of package. Voter may receive package at time of application.

Resident Voters
In order to be eligible to vote in an election, a person must be:
- a Canadian citizen;
- at least 18 years of age on election day; and
- a resident of the municipality for at least six months on Election Day.
Non-Resident Voters
For municipal elections only (excludes school division elections), non-resident landowners are eligible to vote in an election. In order to be eligible, the person must be:
- a Canadian citizen;
- at least 18 years of age on election day; and
- a registered landowner of land in the municipality for at least six months on Election Day.
A maximum of two non-resident voters per property are permitted to vote in a municipal election.
Election Workers Required
The R.M of Springfield is seeking election officials for the 2026 Municipal Election. Works must be available on Election Day (October 28, 2026) for up to 14 hours and attend a training information session prior to the election. Campaign Signs
Campaign signs are an important part of the democratic process and provide voters with information about candidates seeking public office. Individuals are asked not to remove, damage, deface, or otherwise interfere with election materials or campaign property. Any suspected interference with election materials should be reported to the SEO, and where appropriate, to law enforcement.
