Ashley Schlag Memorial Scholarship

The Ashley Schlag Memorial Scholarship and Fund is a local not-for-profit organization founded in memory of Ashley Schlag. As of 2021, we have awarded over $18, 000 in scholarships and donated $15, 0000 to local community club initiatives. Ashley Schlag Memorial Scholarship

Hazelridge Skating Club

 

The Hazelridge Skate Club is a volunteer-run not-for-profit club offering Skate Canada programs within the Municipality of Springfield. We offer Learn-to-Skate, Figure Skating, Power Skating & Synchronized Skating Programs for skaters of all ages. hazelridge.skating@gmail.com

Oakbank Soccer

 

Oakbank Soccer Club has both indoor and outdoor programs that place players based on year of birth. Programs for youth aged 3 to 18. 

Parkside Pool

 

Parkside Pool offers both private and semi-private Red Cross Swim classes that optimize your child's progress. There is only one activity in the pool at a time. Class sizes are small helping your child to focus on learning without the many distractions at larger facilities. 

Springfield Minor Baseball

 

Springfield Minor Baseball Association is a not-for-profit organization providing boys and girls ages 4 to 18 the opportunity to enjoy the game of baseball, learn Life Lessons of discipline and sportsmanship, as well as be engaged in a team environment.

Springfield Ringette Association

 

Springfield Ringette is an organization that strives to provide safe, organized opportunities for youth in the Springfield area to play ringette. Our objective is to develop sportsmanship, values, fair play, game skills, and ringette knowledge.  

Springfield Minor Softball

 

The Springfield (Heat) Minor Softball Association (SMSA) was created in 2010 in order to offer a girls softball program to the residents of Springfield. We are a group of dedicated volunteers with a vision to bring the softball experience to girls in the Municipality of Springfield. springfieldminorsoftball@gmail.com

Sunrise Coyotes Football Club

Dugald Community Club

The Dugald Community Club is located located in the heart of the town of Dugald Manitoba. The Community Clubhouses many community recreation, social and cultural activities. DugaldCC@hotmail.com

Anola Community Club 

Located in the town of Anola, the Anola Community Club is home to the Anola Heat and Baton, Mohutniy Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Selo Ukrainian Dance, Anola Soccer Program, Youth and Middle Years dances, and free Movie Mania events. Community summer camps, fitness programs, craft shows, community socials, and weddings round out the diverse community programming offered.

Cooks Creek Community Centre

Hazleridge Sports Complex 

HSC supports and houses Springfield Minor Hockey, Hazelridge Figure Skating, recreational skating, Old Timers hockey, summer ball hockey, Skate with Santa, and many fundraising events including Pierogi dinners and Pancake breakfasts. Oakbank & District Community Club & ONE Insurance Arena 

The Oakbank and District Community Club is located in Oakbank, Manitoba, and is home to Springfield Minor Hockey, Springfield Minor Baseball, Springfield Minor Softball, Springfield Ringette, Oakbank Soccer, and the Oakbank Old Timers Hockey Association. Springfield Flying Club 

Lyncrest Airport is owned and operated by the Springfield Flying Club. This allows us to grow and achieve our goal of being the best privately-owned airport in Manitoba. Home to a variety of aircraft including restored vintage aircraft, amateur-built planes, and rotorcraft, it is also the base of operations for COPA Flight 35, and EAA Chapter 63. Springfield Curling Club 

Located in Dugald, the Springfield Curling Club has four sheets of curling ice. The second story lounge is fully licensed and a great place to watch the curling action and/or host special events.  Established as a registered charity we pride ourselves in providing educational opportunities to all ages and abilities regardless of socioeconomic status. SPACE programs run all year long, there is always something happening at the SPACE. Anola H.E.A.T. Dance and Baton

Parks and Open Spaces

Aspen Lake Park

Located in Oakbank at the Corner of Aspen and Holly. This park features a large play structure, Dynamo Biggo Duo Swing, Satellite Walk, Apollo Spinner, rock wall, and wheelchair-accessible surfacing.

Jodi Park

Located in Oakbank. Access from David's Place, Jodi Way and Sage Place. This Park features a large play structure, swings, wheelchair-accessible surface, outdoor fitness equipment, and paths.

Kin Park

Located in Oakbank at the corner of Palmtree Bay and Buckthorn Dr. This park offers a large play structure, accessible surfacing, swings, climbing features, and a zipkrooz. As well, this park features two full-size tennis courts with tournament-style nets and pickleball lines, an outdoor rink with a warm-up hut.

Elm Park

Located on Elm Dr in Oakbank. This park offers a 2-5 play structure, Oodle Swings, Spinners and Rockers, and wheelchair-accessible surfacing. As well, this park also boasts a full-size basketball court, play equipment, and a BMX Hill.

Lions Park

Located on Laurel Bay in Oakbank. Lions Park. This park features a Lunar Blast, Oodle Swing, play structure, Saddle Spinner, Digi Rider Dinosaur, Single Bobble Rider, and wheelchair-accessible surface. As well, Lions Park has a beach volleyball court.

Prairie Grove Park

Located on Prairie Grove Road. This park offers play equipment, an outdoor skating rink with a warm-up hut, and a baseball diamond.

Cooks Creek Community Centre Park

Located at the Cooks Creek Community Centre. This park features a large play structure, Dynamo swing, spinner, and wheelchair-accessible surface.

Gillespie Park

Located in Dugald. This park features a play structure, Oodle Swing, we-saw, and wheelchair accessible surface.

Hunter Paar Park 

Located in Vivian. This Park features a new slide, new swings, new spider web climbing, and a new kid's clubhouse.

Legion Memorial Park

Still in development, this park contains an armoured personnel carrier and strives to soon include similar pieces commemorating the Air Force, Navy, and Merchant Marines. This park is located in Dugald, at the Springfield Library.

Springfield Skate Park

Located in Oakbank, on Springfield Centre drive. The Springfield Skate Park features a bowl, rails, multiple ramps, stairs, and a pentagon. 

Springfield Community Splash Pad

Located in Oakbank, on Springfield Centre Drive. The Springfield Community Splash Pad opened in July 2021. It is 3,000 square feet, featuring 25 different spray features that incorporate a smooth play transition from one spray feature to another which exhibits an overall continuity for users of all abilities. 

Springfield Community Park

Located in Oakbank, on Springfield Centre drive. In the early phases of development. The park is projected to be completed in Spring 2022. 

Museums

Anola and District Museum

Anola and District Museum has a pioneer village consisting of an original school, blacksmith shop, pioneer house, chapel, and Springfield's first fire truck. Open every Sunday, May to September, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and by appointment. Admission charged. 

Cook's Creek Heritage Museum

The Cook’s Creek Heritage Museum is dedicated to preserving and making accessible the culture and experiences of the Eastern European (Galician) pioneers who settled in the Cook’s Creek area. 

Community Outreach & Engagement

The Andrew Dunn Foundation

 

 

AndrewDunn.org was established in 2007 to educate the public and create awareness of mental health issues and suicide.  We are a grassroots organization that partners with other agencies to provide information and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness. info@andrewdunn.org

Springfield Food Bank

 

 

the food bank was established to serve all residents of Springfield who were in need of assistance. It began and continues to operate out of the basement of the Anola United Church on Weiser Crescent, directly behind the seniors' Residence in Anola. Oakbank Girl Guides

 

 

Girl Guides is open to girls ages 5 – 17.  Oakbank currently has units for Sparks (ages 5,6), Guides (ages 9-11), Pathfinders (ages 12-14) and Rangers (15-17) and additional units could be opened with the help of additional women volunteering to be Guiders. info@girlguides.ca

Springfield Agricultural Society 

Springfield Agricultural Society exists to promote awareness of the importance of agriculture and to celebrate rural life. Putting on the Springfield Country Fair is our main focus each year, with many fair exhibits, family-oriented activities, and live entertainment, traditionally on the third Saturday of July. mhbouw6@gmail.com

Springfield Kinsmen

 

 

The Springfield Kinsmen Club represents the Association of Kinsmen and Kinettes Clubs of Canada at the local level. The membership subscribes to the association’s philosophy of “Serving the Community’s Greatest Need”.
