About our Stations
Station 1

In addition to local emergencies, Oakbank Fire provides emergency response services within Birds Hill Provincial Park under a Fire Protection Agreement with Sustainable Development. The hall also holds a Fire Protection Agreement with the Winnipeg Folk Festival, ensuring a rapid emergency response during the event.
Station 1 is also home to our Emergency Operations Centre, serving as a critical hub for coordinated emergency management.

Training
All members of the service must meet strict training requirements and maintain regular attendance at training sessions throughout the year. Training takes place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, with an additional evening dedicated to equipment and apparatus maintenance once a month.
Members receive training opportunities at no cost through the Manitoba Emergency Services College in Brandon. Springfield also frequently hosts training courses, helping reduce travel and lodging costs for members attending sessions typically held in Brandon.
Medical First Responders Program
Each fire hall operates a Medical Responder Program to support medical emergencies across the municipality. Each station has 2–3 trained personnel who respond directly to incidents in private vehicles, equipped with medical bags, AEDs, and communication equipment. Crews assist EMS personnel from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) and the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority (IERHA).
